Saw this sweet 992 (my first 992 sighting actually) up town today. Mmmmmmm those lines. I’m drooling. Hold up...... enhance.
Look, I’m for doing whatever makes you happy but I’m struggling to grasp why he is driving around in 35-40 mph traffic with his spoiler up. Is it stuck up? Is it frozen? Is it in some sort of race mode? In any case i feel confident that no one is impressed by that spoiler especially since you can see all the ugly bits underneath it. Im very happy for this random dude though. Is a sweet car. I hope he drives it like its meant to be driven. Also, im pretty sure 911 name plate is a payed extra option.

There’s a 3-series GT in the parking lot at my office with its spoiler always deployed. I’m guessing there’s a switch to allow this. Sadly, there’s no switch to make it less ugly.

C’mon, that’s the best looking retractable spoiler I’ve ever seen!
Could be so much worse:

I doubt that........ ok you win! You win! Take it away!!!

It deploys at 75mph, and retracts at 50. But you can also press a button to leave it permanently extended until you shut the car off. I don’t believe Sport+ mode overrides the 75/50 thing.

Everyone says Jaguars look really good, but they’re offenders too:
Check your Instagram DMs btw :)

Apparently Dodge owners get super salty when their towing mirrors are brought into question. But same concept as driving around with your wang up.

I don’t like the look of the retractable wing. However, I do like this one:

I thought REMOVING the name plate was the option you had to pay for...Porsche usually charges extra for more lightness.

are they retractable?

Yep, it has a button for that. The switch to make is less ugly is called buying a 5 series wagon, but unfortunately that was impossible in burgerland when my dad got his 3 series gt.

Sweet lord, yes.

I’m guessing it’s a very reasonably priced option.

It looks like a very tiny trunk that’s been left open.

Porsche option lists are astounding.
A trade-in of my car would probably only get me the carbon ceramic brake package.

cool

Come on it’s only 6 grand. ... and an additional 3000 bucks every time you get your rotors replaced

Space for a golf bag? Nah, just a golf ball.

It’s $10,500 in Canada.
Then again if I had Porsche money this would all be proportional to my earnings. Right now the proportions are fucked

I think the 992 deploys at a low setting at 45. but can move up if braking hard

I saw this behavior on a 992 in Spike Feresten’s Instagram feed as well, so I did some research.
It appears that some of the custom driving modes that include Sport Mode will leave it up in all kinds of circumstances. My guess is that not all offenders know it’s up at low speeds.

On 45mph roads it's probably constantly going up & down. Maybe they leave it up to reduce extra wear on the actuator(s)?
